Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Hon Governor of Maharashtra flagged off a Mobile Medical Van (MMU) supported by GIC of India (GIC Re) on 5th December 2020 at Rajbhavan,Mumbai.
GIC of India (GIC Re) a National Reinsurer & 10th largest company in the world has tremendously supported many NGO & organizations through CSR. In one of its CSR initiatives GIC has donated Two Mobile medical Vans to RK HIV aids research & care centre for their Mumbai & Surat region.
A formal inaugural & flagging ceremony of first MMU held at the auspicious hands of Hon Governor. Dr Dharmendra Kumar Chairman RK Hiv,Deepak Prasad Director & General Manager GIC, K P Bakshi Chairman Water Regularity Authority GoM & Advisor RK Hiv, Namdeo Kadam Asst General Manager GIC, Vijay Satbir Singh Member Rera & Advisor RK Hiv,associate of RKHiv and many dignitaries were present during the function. After the inaugural ceremony Hon Governor felicitated the COVID Yodhas for their enormous contribution during corona pandemic.
RK Hiv aids research & care centre recipient of Guinness book of world record & Asia Book of record leading in the world for biggest free medical camps.This organization has organised several medical camps in urban as well as rural areas & also running 8 mobile hospitals in West Bengal & Jharkhand. Moreover they have adopted 600 villages during Corona pandemic & distributed 1 Crore food packets,Ration kits,medicines,PPE kit,masks & sanitizer to the people.
