The effervescent Asif Bhamla- helmed Bhamla Foundation, listening to the plea of Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation that has taken on the responsibility of giving ration to the tribals of Maharashtra beginning with Madh Island, did a food distribution drive that covered over 1000 people in Madh Island on Sunday. Other than the tribals, those who belonged to the poor strata of society were also taken care of.
Says Asif Bhamla,” Bhamla Foundation has always been in the forefront when it comes to service. We are glad we can be of help.”
Adds Meraj Husain,” Anusha Srinivasan Iyer of MEGA and we have a long association. And a familial one. Growth happens when you hold hands and help others.”Adds Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, “through the last four months, we have been regularly distributing ration with the aid of various selfless people besides our own resources. But the current drive helmed by Asif bhai and Meraj bhai touched over 1000 people in one day. We are hoping we have more such initiatives and help others. I am truly thankful. I would like more people to come forward as with such initiatives with Bhamla Foundation.

Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu and several international luminaries were commended as lighthouses of hope, vision and resilience during the gloomy world atmosphere of pandemic-hit 2020. Mumbai, 19th September 2020: These honours occurred at the 36th-Anniversary Global Awards for the Priyadarshni Academy on Saturday, September 19 through a YouTube live event broadcast from Mumbai. The Priyadarshni Academy is a socio-cultural organisation, which hosts these awards to honour luminaries in multiple disciplines every year. This time, they decided to continue in the same vein to serve as a symbol of resilience in the glum atmosphere.
“This is exactly the time to celebrate the iconic, extraordinary individuals who’ve demonstrated vision, action and resilience and like lighthouses in turbulent times, have shown us the way. We need their inspiration more now than ever before. That’s why we’re here, this evening”, said Dr RA Mashelkar, Chairman of the Global Awards Advisory Committee for the Priyadarshni Academy.
Awarded the Smita Patil Memorial Award, Taapsee Pannu was recognised for her commendable acting skills in a body of films like Saand Ki Aankh, Thappad, Mulk, Pink, Manmarziyan, Naam Shabana and Badla. The non-industry actor had established herself in Tamil and Telugu cinema before she turned her sights towards the Hindi film industry.
“Thank you so much for considering me worthy of this honour. I’ve realised the depth of this compliment and the responsibility of being given her name fairly late in life (as I come from a non-film, purely educational background). It’s almost surreal… I don’t think I’m anywhere near her as of now, but I would off-course, like to keep her as my benchmark and make sure that I reach somewhere close”, she said, as she accepted the award virtually from Shri Suresh Prabhu, former union minister and India’s Sherpa to G20.
Apart from Pannu, the Academy also honoured Børge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Jose Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director of HUL, Graça Machel DBE HonFBA, who served as the First Lady for both Mozambique and South Africa and Kamlesh Patel (Daaji), President of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission.
“We have a galaxy of prominent super achievers who by sheer grit and determination to improve the quality of life, to improve the standards of living globally, have been working relentlessly to achieve these goals”, said Nanik Rupani, Chairman Emeritus of Priyadarshni Academy. Rupani has been associated with the academy for the longest time and has often honoured noted luminaries in the past.
The current pandemic, economic crisis and way forward for India also remained essential notes at the event.
“While this historic crisis comes with a dire economic and social outlook, there are also lessons and opportunities. In the longer term, India must continue investment in health infrastructure and ensure continuity of regular health services; it will also have to cautiously adjust spending and attract industrial investment”, said Berge, during his acceptance address.
Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of the Priyadarshni Academy and the Managing Director of the Hiranandani Group, also took this message forward in his summary. “We have in India an opportunity that is second to none. Today, with the pharma industry taking leadership in our country, we’re hoping that the discovery of the vaccine, hopefully sooner than later, will be a big base in India and a large number of manufacturing units are waiting to see that we must be suppliers for the entire world”, the Indian billionaire entrepreneur said.
Established in 1984, the Priyadarshni Academy aims to serve the society by nurturing access to education for deserving students and providing opportunities for classical musicians and dancers. Its global awards are also called the Nobel Awards for Asia. This year, the Academy was represented on the dais by Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of the Priyadarshni Academy, Dr R A Mashelkar, Chairman of the Global Awards Advisory Committee and Nanik Rupani and Ashish Vaid.
“An average Indian believes that an investment in gold passes down generations, more so when a celebrity endorses a company that is offering the said gold scheme. My legal battle is merely a representation of many of the investors of Satyug Gold who might have invested in the gold scheme at a discounted rate, only to never receive the gold,” says actor-entrepreneur Sachiin Joshi, who, after paying Rs. 18,57,870 on March 25, 2014, has been asked by the then Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra promoted Satyug Gold to pay a penalty of Rs. 25,50,000 in order to collect the gold for which an amount of Rs 18,57,870 had already been paid to them six years ago.
“If I am asked to pay Rs 25 lakh to collect Rs 18 lakh gold after six years of my hard-earned money lying with a company, imagine the state of the common man who must have invested believing a celebrity who endorsed a company as its Chairman! I feel defrauded to say the least. And then I realised that I should stand up against what is wrong as I might be the hope for many others.”
The matter is subjudice through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India. As per the court, Satyug Gold was made to deposit the 1kg of gold with the Prothonotary and Senior Master of the Hon. Bombay High Court, who then took custody of the gold and sealed and secured it in the High Court’s strong-room/vault. As Sachiin Joshi was abroad, his counsel requested that the gold be handed over to his representative.
As the hearing and final disposal of the arbitration proceedings and for was in a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the Award by the parties and / or their Advocates, the Prothonotary and Senior Master shall continue to retain the gold bar weighing 1.022 kg in the safe deposit vault opened / obtained in his name in the Bank of India pursuant to the directions of G.S.Patel, J. dated 7th September, 2020.
Sachiin Joshi has earlier filed a complaint on January 18th of this year in Khar Police Station, Mumbai, under sections 406, 409 and 420 of the IPC for the alleged fraudulent representation and nonreceipt of gold after six years of making the payment to Satyug Gold at the behest of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty who were then, the office-bearers of the company.

Lido Learning Launches 10CR Young Leaders Scholarship Fund Scholarship Fund 100 crore over the next 2 years
Edtech company Lido Learning launches first of its kind Young Leaders Scholarship of 10 crores to help India’s best students become the country’s future leaders. The aim is to get this Scholarship Fund to 100 crore over the next 2 years.
Lido Learning, which offers small group tutoring to students in Grade 4-9 in Maths, Science, English and Coding, has seen massive month-on- month growth during the pandemic, as more and more parents have opted to replace in-person school and tuition with online learning.
However, the rising unemployment has made it difficult for many stellar students to be able to afford to continue studying online.
Thanks to Lido’s billionaire investors like Ronnie Screwvala (Founder UTV, UpGrad) and Vikram Singhania (Managing Director of JK Tyres), we have been able to launch our Young Leaders Scholarship Fund to ensure that India’s best students do not have any break in their learning and development,” said Sahil Sheth, CEO. “Our mission is to
democratize high quality education and this fund is another way for us to achieve that aim.”
The fund will give out scholarships of Rs. 20,000 to deserving students from Grade 4-10. Selected students will become part of Lido’s flagship
Young Leaders Program. The program combines an interdisciplinary course of Math, English, Coding, Science and Leadership with career mentorship, hackathons
and masterclasses with leaders in order to give students a well-rounded education to be the leaders of tomorrow. The curriculum has been designed by an expert team from Harvard and Stanford School of Education and focuses on building problem solving, technical skills, communication skills, confidence and creativity.
“With NEP 2020, the new government directive is clear: we should be focusing on holistic, skill based learning and our Young Leaders Program does exactly that,” said Sheth. “It’s no longer good enough to train to be just an engineer, when most people are going to change careers at least 7 times, and when 800 million jobs are going to be lost to Artificial Intelligence. You need to have a very diverse and flexible skillset and the mind-set to change the world, if you want to be part of the 5% that will be giving orders to machines, rather than the 95% taking orders from them.”
The Young Leaders Scholarship Fund will be disbursing the first of the grants starting August 10 and the Learning to Lead Masterclass series will be kick-starting August 15, with Anupam Mittal (Shaadi CEO), Madhur Deora (PayTM President) and Ronnie Screwvala (UTV Founder) as the first speakers.
All students currently in Grades 4 to 9 are eligible for the Young Leaders Scholarship. To apply, go to lidolearning.com, and book a Young Leaders trial class; students will be selected based on performance, participation and teacher feedback.

With advanced analytics and tracking, Lido can create unique learning journeys for every student. Based on their class performance, students are given customised homework, remedial help, and challenges to push their limits.
A heartfelt tribute to Covid warriors of India, ranging from high-end officers to daily workers, Naman Hai, talks about empowerment, dedication, selfless act of kindness and our leader PM Narendra Modi. Another Producer Shalini Shrivastav,Owner of Breakfree Meaningful Media and entertainment Pvt ltd, has produced this song as a salute to the warriors in this unique idea with Zest Melange, and together they come out with an extraordinary video song which other corporate houses will follow.
It’s been written, composed and crooned by Jeet Pramanik and beautifully directed by Rajeev Shrivastava.
“Rajeev” had gathered the crew and shown the passion to shoot inside the Corona hospital . Rajiv also penned down the dialogues which makes “Naman hai “one of the different genre of music album .Further it’s edited by Manish Pandey.
As much as the song is inspirational, the makers journey from an ultra-successful businessman to song producer is nothing sort of inspiration as well. Talking about the circumstances which lead team Zest Melange to “Naman Hai”, Dhruv said, “I believe in my leader, Narendra Modi. I was running a successful business but once he called for digital India, I turned my entire company into E-commerce enterprise. Our leader called out “Vocal for Local”, we’re only company in India, which manufactures clothing which is made in Indian, made for India.
Dhruv also expressed his gratitude towards
Shri Yogi Adityanath “Gorakhnath Mandir”
Guptashwar Pandey “DGP Bihar”
Dr Dinesh Kurmi “Dr. Kurmis Multispeciality Hospital, Mumbai”
Suriaya Wadiwala “Lions Club of Lonavala supremos”
Media/Digital Partner “Ruchika Gupta of Media Fourth”
“New song is an ode to Narendra Modi and all the Covid-warriors who are contributing in their own capacity. Whether a police officer, doctor, nursing staff, attendant, cleaning crew, garbage hauler, or perhaps a common man, the song is all about inclusion and our heartfelt respect and gratitude towards the people who are stirring us through this muddy times”
Driven by a very strong belief to make this fashion desirable to the Indian corporates, Zest Mélange has the heart in the right place as they are in straight alignment with the view of pollution control as they don’t use any plastic fibers and everything is Indian about. The best part about the product is that it’s our pride and it’s world’s best for India’s finest which won’t be an overstatement. We spoke to Dhruv on the vision of the brand and here is what he says, “I see the biggest potential in the world to be us Indians and I want the true representation of them at each stage and be appreciated by it. Everything in is about quality that we can bring to the table.”
The video has been shot creatively, with several depictions of emotional struggle, purity, and liberation – through the choreography, expressions and hard work of people. It doesn’t use the run-of-the-mill techniques and takes the route less travelled – using more practical and real references.
Ever since the Covid-19 pandemic the world has changed and the way we operate has also changed drastically. Zest Melange took to whole “Vocal for Local” to a whole new dimension, in terms of incorporating Indian work-force to create something which has global appeal.
Celebrations of Independence Day this year will be rather restrained. The world confronts a deadly virus which has disrupted all activities & taken a huge toll. It has altered the world we lived in before pandemic: President in his address to nation on the eve of #Independence Day
Aug 15 fills us with excitement of unfurling the tricolour, taking part in celebrations & listening to patriotic songs. Youth of India should feel special pride of being citizens of free nation: President Ram Nath Kovind in his address to the nation on the eve of #Independence Day.
The nation is indebted to doctors, nurses and other health workers who have been continuously on the forefront of our fight against this virus. Unfortunately, many of them have lost their lives battling the pandemic. They are our national heroes: President Ram Nath Kovind
We are fortunate that Mahatma Gandhi became the guiding light of our freedom movement. As much a saint as a political leader, he was a phenomenon that could have happened only in India: President Ram Nath Kovind
